24/02/20 - We lost a Giant

I discovered Asterix and Obelix when I was very young. I loved the stories but also the virtuosity of his drawings. I also liked Tintin, but I preferred Asterix for the humor and the characters who looked a lot like us. To understand his artistic genius, I suggest you to draw Asterix and Obelix with an ink pen only, without drawing in pencil before, it's tough. We have lost a Giant who has inspired so many children and adults around the World.

Thanks M. Albert Uderzo

FEBRUARY 2020

12/02/20 - 39 years ago, the band Rush released "Moving Pictures".

It was 39 years ago (February 12, 1981), Rush released "Moving Pictures", recorded at Le Studio of Morin Heights, from October to November 1980. It's still my favorite album of the band and I have almost all the albums. I was lucky to see them live 4 times and I keep very good memories of each. These are my real drumsticks in the artwork, one for each song on the album. Also a little reference about "2112", the first album I had from the band. Thanks Rush, Alex, Geddy & Neil. RIP The Professor.

Thanks M. Neil Peart & Rush

01/01/13 - I've been published in "International Artist" magazine, No.88 Dec-Jan 2013

It is an honor to have been published by the prestigious International Artist magazine, under "Master Painters of the World." This allowed me to explain my inspiration and creative process of one of my artworks entitled "Frederique". I took the opportunity to discuss the history of Quebec and New France, hoping to stir up desire among hundreds of thousands of readers abroad to visit us.

Also in the article, I return briefly to the time of New France and the colossal task that had our ancestors, namely survive winters, clear the land and populate the colony to ensure survival. I also made a nod to Quebec City and the fact that today it is a jewel of the UNESCO World Heritage.

Internatinal Artist magazine is available on newsstands or in electronic form on the website at www.international-artist.com. See the article in The Tribune here.
